Privacy

TabHabit has no account, no analytics, no ads and no AI. Almost everything it does happens on your device. This page lists the exceptions.

Last updated 18 October 2026.

What stays on your device

Your open tabs, the tree of which tab opened which, tasks, notes, settings, backups, closed-tab records and your habits and rules are stored in your browser’s extension storage. If you allow bookmark or history search, TabHabit reads them in your browser to show results. None of this is sent to us or anyone else.

What leaves your device, and only when you act

Sites you mark “Never remember”

TabHabit leaves them out of groups, backups, closed tabs, finished tasks, sync and its history lists. If you choose, it also deletes their visits from your browser’s own history.

Private windows

Nothing from a private (incognito) window is ever saved or synced. If you let your habits sort private-window tabs, that happens in memory and is forgotten when the window closes.

Services we use

Stripe (payments) and Vercel (hosting this site and the encrypted sync store). We don’t sell or share data, and we don’t use it for advertising.

Deleting your data

Uninstalling TabHabit removes everything it stored in your browser. Turning sync off stops anything new being uploaded. To delete what’s already stored, email us with your licence key and we’ll remove it.
