Habits, in one click

Turn on a habit and its sites are grouped for you: Dev for local servers, Research for searches and reference pages, and more for work, social, shopping, video and news.

Your own sites, suggested

TabHabit looks at the sites you already have the most tabs open on and offers each as a group of its own.

Always put this site in…

Right-click any tab and choose where every future tab from that site should go. Your own rules always win over the ready-made habits.

Tidy what’s already open

“Tidy by site” turns the loose tabs from each site into a workspace in one click.

It respects your choices

Tabs you move by hand are never regrouped, a tab you’re working in stays in its group when you browse elsewhere, and sites you mark “Never remember” are left alone entirely.

Questions

Does it use Chrome’s tab groups?

Yes. Every group TabHabit makes is a normal Chrome tab group, named and coloured, so it shows in the tab strip.

Can I write my own rules?

Yes. Rules match a site and path, with * for one part and ** for anything, and {key} to name a group after part of the address. Pro adds regular expressions.

Does grouping happen on a server?

No. Rules run in your browser. TabHabit has no account and sends nothing anywhere.
