that survive a restart.

The tree comes back after a restart
Chrome gives every tab a new identity when it restarts, which is why tree tabs usually forget everything. TabHabit puts your tree back by address and order, and tells you about anything it wasn’t sure of.
Built on Chrome’s own tab groups
Each workspace is one of Chrome’s tab groups, so it shows in the tab strip too. Switch workspace and the others fold away, so the side panel can stay closed when you don’t need it.
Every window in one place
The tree shows all your windows, not just the current one, and search finds tabs in any of them.
New tabs where you want them
Open a new tab as a child, a sibling or next to the current tab. Reopening a closed tab puts it back in its place with its children.
Also in Firefox
The same extension runs in Firefox’s sidebar, and Pro sync carries parked workspaces between Chrome and Firefox.
Questions
Does it work in Chrome’s side panel?
Yes. TabHabit lives in Chrome’s side panel (Chrome 120 or later) and in Firefox’s sidebar.
Will my tree survive a browser restart?
Yes. TabHabit saves the tree whenever it changes and lines it back up with your tabs after a restart, first by exact address and order, then by a looser match.
Does it take over keyboard shortcuts?
No. TabHabit sets none of the browser’s shortcuts; pick your own in the browser’s shortcut settings.
